Aer Lingus Brings Back Popular U.S. to Ireland Flight Routes and Introduces New Route

Dreaming of visiting Ireland soon? Next year it will be easier than ever for Americans to travel to the Emerald Isle, with new and returning nonstop flight routes announced from cities in the United States to Ireland.

In March 2020, many routes between the United States and Ireland were discontinued because of COVID-19 restrictions, which made it harder to travel to Ireland.

But in early 2022, when Ireland dropped all travel restrictions and made it easy for tourists to return, demand picked up for visiting this country known for its beautiful scenery, Celtic heritage, and lively capital city.

Returning Routes for the U.S. to Ireland Flights

Aer Lingus, the flagship airline of Ireland, has announced the return of the nonstop flight route between Bradley International Airport (BDL) and Dublin Airport (DUB). Residents of Hartford, Connecticut and Springfield, Massachusets will soon be able to enjoy close proximity to this direct flight, as BDL lies between the two cities.

This route took travelers from Bradley International Airport in Connecticut to Dublin in just over 6.5 hours and was the only nonstop route of its kind.

However, it will be returning in March 2023, allowing travelers to once again fly nonstop from Hartford to Dublin for just €199 (≈$194 USD) each way.

With the current favorable exchange rate between the dollar and the euro, this is the best time to lock in a great flight deal to visit Ireland next year.

“We are opening up key cities and regions in the United States to Irish and European customers, by adding new transatlantic routes to the Aer Lingus schedule… Aer Lingus is forging ahead with its North American expansion plans, growing the number of transatlantic routes from its Dublin hub,” stated Lynne Embleton, the Chief Executive of Aer Lingus.

This announcement comes six months after Aer Lingus brought back additional popular flight routes from the United States, including:

• Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Dublin, Ireland
• Los Angeles, California to Dublin, Ireland
• Seattle, Washington to Dublin, Ireland

These routes had also been discontinued due to COVID-19 restrictions, but they have now resumed and will continue to take travelers from these destinations to Ireland into 2023.

Aer Lingus currently offers more than a dozen nonstop flights from cities in the United States to Dublin, making a trip to Ireland more accessible than ever for American travelers.

New Cleveland to Dublin Nonstop Flight Route Announced

In addition to bringing back popular flight routes that had been previously discontinued due to COVID-19 restrictions, Aer Lingus has also announced a brand-new route that will begin in the summer of 2023.

This new route will offer nonstop flights four times a week from Cleveland to Dublin, which is a huge benefit for Ohio travelers.

Currently, there are no nonstop flights from Cleveland to Europe, so this new route will be the first of its kind and will allow travelers easy access to Ireland, as well as onward connections to 20 more European destinations served by Aer Lingus.

The new Cleveland to Dublin flight service will be operated by an Airbus A321neo LR, which is the most sustainable long-haul aircraft in the entire Aer Lingus fleet.

All Nonstop Routes from the United States to Dublin on Aer Lingus

Aer Lingus has brought back several popular routes, offering nonstop flights to Dublin from U.S. cities, including Hartford, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and Seattle, after an extended disruption.

They have also introduced a new Cleveland to Dublin route, which will commence in the summer of 2023.

Aer Lingus offers nonstop flights to Dublin from the following U.S. cities:

• Boston, Massachusetts
• New York, New York
• Chicago, Illinois
• Washington, D.C.
• Newark, New Jersey
• San Francisco, California
• Orlando, Florida
• Miami, Florida
• Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
• Cleveland, Ohio
• Seattle, Washington
• Los Angeles, California

With flights starting as low as €199 (≈$194 USD) one way from many U.S. destinations, visiting Ireland is easier and more affordable than ever before.
