Aside from the capital of Stockholm, Sweden’s other cities are seeing an increased interest from tourists recently. The county’s other two large cities of Gothenburg and Malmö are both trending, for various reasons.
Malmö has been making headlines for being the upcoming host city of the 2024 Eurovision song contest, and Gothenburg for its 400th-anniversary festival this year.
Another area of Sweden that has been making some tourism news recently is the Baltic Sea island of Gotland. Ranking 5th as a popular Airbnb trending summer list, people love the medieval historic vibe that the cozy capital of Visby has.

Just had a lovely week in Stockholm. This city cannot be beaten and is no more expensive than London. Hotels are cheaper and if you go easy on the alcohol you will be fine.

We have just been to Stockholm and it really is worth a trip. so much to see and not expensive. No need for any cash as it is cashless for every transaction everywhere. Clean and modern also cheap. Train to historic village of Sigtuna . Ferries to the Islands. The Vasa Museum is amazing.
