A new partnership between Kenya Airways and Delta Air Lines is now offering customers direct flights between New York’s JFK Airport and Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
The new alliance allows passengers the chance to hop on the most direct route for the almost fifteen-hour flight, the opportunity for increased connections once in Africa, and not to mention all the benefits of booking with Delta, including points, rewards, loyalty status, and more.
Why Kenya?
This new partnership is a response to increased traveler demand between American travelers and Africa, with countries such as Kenya and other nearby destinations only growing in popularity.
As one of the continent’s leading tourist destinations, Kenya has a lot to offer. The cosmopolitan capital of Nairobi offers the chance to see how Kenyans in the big city live their daily lives and offers an eye-opening stunning contrast between the high rises and the sprawling slums which sit next to them.
Without leaving Nairobi you can experience a wealth of wildlife as well, such as the opportunities to get up close and personal with the rehabilitation of orphaned baby elephants and a first-hand account of a giraffe conservation program.
For the Out Of Africa fans, you can also visit the Karen Blixen museum, set amongst the impressive Ngong Hills.

Throughout Kenya you can find a wide range of accommodations, from tent camping to luxury properties, offering something for everyone’s budget. Delta and Kenya Airlines’ new partnership comes at a perfect time for travelers, as fall is the ideal time to visit Kenya for many reasons.
Offering great weather, not too hot or cold, and with little chance of rain until later in the year, fall allows visitors the opportunity to see the country in its transition period.
Birdwatching is a highlight at this time of year, as is witnessing the great wildebeest migration (an absolute bucket list item, especially if you watch from a hot air balloon).
